His form in Australia earned him a move to Coventry City, where he made nine appearances and provided an assist in a 7-1 home victory over Queens Park Rangers. Last season, he gained valuable experience in England's third tier with a loan spell at Wigan Athletic, featuring 37 times in the league and 43 times across all competitions. He faced Burton twice during that loan, playing in both league meetings between the clubs.
