Burton Albion Football Club have renewed their official partnership with Knott-Avonride for the 2026/27 campaign. The deal extends a commercial relationship that has spanned more than twenty years.
Neil Collins, the Managing Director at Knott-Avonride Ltd, expressed his company's commitment. "We are proud to continue our longstanding support of Burton Albion and to play our part through grassroots football in the town and wider community," he said. The firm, based at Centrum 100 in Burton-Upon-Trent, was established in 1983 and initially focused on manufacturing trailer components and brakes.
Knott-Avonride's connection with the Brewers dates back to 2002. The company served as a First Team sponsor for four years until 2006. Their support has continued in various forms, most recently as the sponsor of the Men's Golden Boot Award at the club's end of season awards night. That accolade was won last season by striker Tyrese Shade. The renewed agreement for the coming season will feature Knott-Avonride as the Front of Shirt Sponsor for the club's Academy Under-18s side.
Jordan Worthington, Head of Sales at Burton Albion, welcomed the continued collaboration. "We are delighted to be continuing this partnership with Knott, who have been great supporters of the Club for many years," Worthington stated. The club confirmed the news. This off-field stability arrives as Gary Bowyer's squad sits 7th in the League One table with four points from their opening two matches.
The Brewers have started the 2026/27 season with a win and a draw from their first two games. Their recent form reads WD, and they have scored three goals while conceding two. This leaves them with a positive goal difference of +1. In the early title race, Burton are just two points behind leaders Bradford City. Fans can track the team's progress on the official standings page.
A key element of the new deal is Knott-Avonride's branding on the shirts of the club's Under-18s academy side. This aligns with the partner's stated goal of supporting grassroots football within the local community. The company has significantly expanded its product and service range since its early days supplying brakes, couplings, and jockey wheels for trailers and caravans.
Attention now turns to the pitch, where Burton Albion prepare for their next League One fixture. They host AFC Wimbledon at the Pirelli Stadium on Wednesday, 2nd September. Wimbledon currently occupy 23rd place in the table, making it an important opportunity for the Brewers to build on their solid start. Supporters can find full details of this and all upcoming matches on the club's fixtures schedule. Maintaining both commercial partnerships and on-field momentum will be important as the club aims to close the gap at the top of League One.
