Leyton Orient receives a significant boost ahead of their crucial final League One fixture against Burton Albion, as influential midfielder Idris El Mizouni is confirmed available for selection. The O's are fighting to preserve their third-tier status, with this decisive match at Brisbane Road holding the key to their survival hopes against the already-safe Brewers.

Currently, Leyton Orient sits two points clear of 21st-placed Exeter City, just above the relegation zone. A victory against Burton Albion will guarantee another season in League One for the East London club. Burton, having secured their own safety last weekend, will travel to Brisbane Road without the pressure of relegation, potentially making them a tricky opponent.

The return of Idris El Mizouni, who became Orient's record transfer signing from Oxford United last summer, is a timely lift for a side that has struggled recently, going seven league matches without a win. His presence, even if from the bench, could provide the much-needed impetus for the O's in this high-stakes encounter.

While El Mizouni, aged 25, is unlikely to start the game, he is expected to be named among the substitutes by head coach Richie Wellens. Wellens himself will be serving the second game of a three-match touchline ban, adding another layer of challenge for the Leyton Orient squad as they navigate this critical fixture.

El Mizouni's season has been significantly impacted by injury, causing him to miss approximately 14 weeks during the middle part of the campaign. He made a return in March during the 2-1 victory against Peterborough, but then suffered a setback in the goalless draw with Mansfield last month, subsequently missing the following two matches.

In further positive news for Leyton Orient, Irish international forward Aaron Connolly also returned to action last Saturday in the 1-0 defeat at Blackpool. Connolly is now fully in contention to feature against Burton Albion, providing additional attacking options for the O's as they push for the vital three points.
