Sandra Dee Burton, lovingly known as Sandee, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her daughter, Shaelynn Burton, and her son, Dillon Burton. She also leaves behind her fiancé, Chris Houchen, and his sons, Cody (Kayla) and Seth Houchen. Sandee was a proud and devoted grandmother to James Daniel, Rose Marie, LilyAnna Arlene, and Ethan Grey, and she treasured the special bond she shared with each of them. Her family was at the center of her heart, and she found great happiness in the moments she spent with those she loved. Sandee is also survived by her sisters, Sharon (Chuck) Drummond, Jeannette (Kevan) Draa, and a brother, Ken (Donna) Burton. She also leaves behind her Uncle Bob Cessna and Aunt Jackie Lewis, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her family will hold close the memories of the good times with her and the strength of her spirit. She graduated from Badger High School and Trumbull Career & Technical Center in 1987 and went on to work in a variety of jobs, including working as a dog groomer and was also employed at KraftMaid and Delphi. Sandee was a great lover of all animals, including horses and dogs, especially her Labs, Trigger, Barrel, and Levi, which she loved dearly. Over the years, she enjoyed raising horses, trail riding, and being involved in 4-H with her children. She also found peace in the simple pleasure of bird watching and gardening. Her other interests included going to the casinos, especially Mountaineer, and many hours spent with her family playing cards and board games, with an occasional night out shooting pool. Those who knew Sandee will remember her as a loving woman with a kind heart. Her life was filled with devotion to her family and the things she loved. Though her passing was sudden and leaves a deep loss, her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all those who knew and loved her. A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
