Burton A. Bennett, a lifelong resident of Walburn Run Road Brockway, PA, has passed away at the age of 94. He was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran and a member of the Lanes Mills Global Methodist Church. Born on September 29, 1931, in Brandy Camp, PA, he was the son of the late James Franklin and Daisy Ellen Reed Bennett. On June 28, 1952, he was married to Bernice M. Stubbs, who preceded him in death on October 2, 2017. Burton had been employed as a Kiln Loader at Stackpole Carbon in St Marys, PA, and was a retired veteran. He is survived by his sons, David (Donna) Bennett of DuBois, James (Denise) Bennett and Michael (JoAnn) Bennett both of Brockway, and 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 3, from 5 PM to 8 PM at the Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway, and again on Thursday, June 4, from 11 AM to 12:30 PM at the funeral home. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:30 PM with Bob Cherubini officiating. Full Military Honors will be accorded by Parson-Marnati Post #95 of the American Legion Honor Guard. Burial will follow in the Brandy Camp Cemetery.
